One-Man Band is a short film created over the course of a semester at the University of Mary. As the director, I was able to be involved in every step of the process, helping to shape four different people's creative ideas into one cohesive story.
It follows the story of William, a talented musician who was a member of the band The Infinite Tomorrows. The night before their big concert, his three other band members die in a car accident. After, William has to deal with his grief and find a way to play again.
Making it Come Together
Along with directing, I was able to cast the movie and was responsible for creating a production schedule, communicating affectively with cast and crew, and locate everything needed for the movie. I created many of the props, including the articles used in the movie, and I found a pizza place in town that would allow us to use them in our film.
Following filming, our writer and I were responsible for creating promotional materials. Together we created the poster design seen above and edited together a trailer to release ahead of the screening.
